Story Of An Immigrant Tumblr
Hi Friends!
So we’ve been looking for more and better ways to connect with you (besides our short chats by the merch table after our show) and here’s the idea:
We’ve created a “Story Of An Immigrant” Tumblr page to share with all of you. The band will be posting pictures, video, writings of our travels, thoughts and musings that don’t fit into a 140-character tweet. Occasionally we’ll share sounds too (not sure what this will look like: perhaps unreleased music, random sound clips…?). If you’re interested in taking a peek into our world, this is definitely a site you’ll enjoy.
But, the aspect of our new Tumblr page that most excites us is that we want all of YOU to think of it just as much as YOUR space as it is ours. Seriously. This blog is a way for all of us immigrants to share our stories, ask questions, make public our journeys. We all have a story to tell, come from someplace else and are headed somewhere new. We want to hear about the places and people and things you love, see (in video, picture, word or sound form) the moments that define you, and just answer questions if you have any. Share your immigrant story with us as we share ours with you.
You can share using the “Submit Your Story” button on the Tumblr page or by using #StoryOfAnImmigrant on Twitter and Instagram. Here’s a treat: a few lucky folks that share this week will get tickets to our fall tour! We’ll be using the page for ticket giveaways and contests as the year goes on, so make sure you stay up to date!
